Welcome to Rentals ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our electric bike rental services and website located at rentals.gethigh.studio (the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Service Description

Rentals provides electric bike rental services in Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa, Finland. Our Service includes:

• Online booking and reservation system
• Electric bike rentals for various durations
• Customer support and maintenance services
• Optional accessories and equipment rental

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use certain features of our Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and rent our bikes. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Rental Terms and Conditions

4.1 Rental Requirements

To rent an electric bike, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid government-issued ID
• Have a valid payment method on file
• Accept these Terms and Conditions

4.2 Rental Period

Rental periods begin when you pick up the bike and end when you return it to the designated location. Late returns may incur additional charges at our standard hourly rate.

4.3 Bike Condition

You agree to:

• Inspect the bike before use and report any damage or issues
• Use the bike in a safe and responsible manner
• Return the bike in the same condition as received (normal wear excepted)
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Pricing

Rental prices are displayed on our website and are subject to change. All prices are in Euros (EUR) and include applicable VAT unless otherwise stated.

5.2 Payment Methods

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods as displayed on our website. Payment is required at the time of booking.

5.3 Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be required at the time of rental. The deposit will be returned upon satisfactory return of the bike, minus any applicable charges for damage, late return, or violations of these Terms.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

6.1 Cancellation Policy

• 24+ hours before rental: Full refund
• 12-24 hours before rental: 50% refund
• Less than 12 hours: No refund

6.2 Weather Conditions

In case of severe weather conditions that make riding unsafe, we may cancel or postpone rentals. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

7. Liability and Insurance

7.1 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rentals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of profits arising from your use of our Service.

7.2 Insurance

Our bikes are insured for theft and damage. However, you may be responsible for deductibles and costs not covered by insurance in case of damage, theft, or loss resulting from your negligence or violation of these Terms.

7.3 Personal Insurance

We strongly recommend that you have personal accident and liability insurance. Our rental does not include personal accident or health insurance coverage.

8. User Responsibilities

As a renter, you agree to:

• Wear a helmet at all times while riding (provided free of charge)
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations
• Not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Not allow unauthorized persons to use the bike
• Lock the bike when unattended
• Report any accidents, damage, or theft immediately
• Not modify or tamper with the bike in any way
• Return the bike to the designated location at the end of the rental period

9. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Use the bike for commercial purposes without prior written consent
• Take the bike outside the designated service area
• Use the bike for racing, stunts, or off-road riding
• Overload the bike beyond its specified weight capacity
• Sublet or lend the bike to third parties
• Remove or tamper with GPS tracking devices
• Use the bike for any illegal activity

10. Damage, Loss, and Theft

10.1 Damage

You are responsible for any damage to the bike that occurs during your rental period, except for normal wear and tear. Repair costs will be charged to your payment method.

10.2 Theft or Loss

If the bike is stolen or lost during your rental period, you must:

• Report it to us immediately
• File a police report within 24 hours
• Provide us with a copy of the police report

You may be liable for the full replacement value of the bike if theft or loss results from your negligence (e.g., failure to lock the bike).

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Service, you consent to our collection and use of personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We comply with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

12. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Rentals or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written permission.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
